Enzymatic Peeling Applications
Enzymatic Peeling (Cosmelan)
Enzymatic peeling (Cosmelan, Dermelan) is a special peeling method that treats pigmentation (spots) caused by pregnancy, age, and sunlight on the skin. This unique peeling treatment contains vitamin C, azelaic acid, kojic acid, and phytic acid, which reduce the melanin substance responsible for spots. This special mixture decreases the production of melanin and treats the spot, leading to a reduction in existing spots and preventing new ones. Additionally, this system stimulates skin renewal, lightens and balances skin tone, thanks to its effective and potent ingredients.
Before Cosmelan application, the skin is examined, and the skin is mechanically cleaned with a special cleansing agent. The enzymatic peeling product is applied to the clean skin. It is applied to the spotted areas for several layers. Depending on the skin's sensitivity, the product is left on the skin for 4-8 hours. After the specified time, the product is removed with water. Then, moisturizing and nourishing cream is applied. It is necessary to use special maintenance creams after the application.
The most significant advantage of enzymatic peeling is that it is a one-time application. Unlike traditional chemical peels, there is no need for intermittent continuous treatment. While there is a risk of spots remaining after chemical peeling, there is no such risk with enzymatic peeling.
